Mario has spent over two decades building and leading businesses across Latin America and the Caribbean.

He currently serves as Managing Director for Mexico, LATAM and the Caribbean at a global consumer goods multinational, where he leads a multi-country P&L and a cross-functional team spanning commercial, marketing, finance and operations.

His career began in finance and evolved through commercial leadership into general management — a combination that shapes how he reads a business: the discipline of someone who has owned the numbers, and the judgment of someone who has built markets from the ground up. He has led market-entry strategies across more than 30 countries, restructured distributor networks, and negotiated commercial agreements in some of the region’s most complex operating environments.

At oPHtimize, Mario serves in a non-executive capacity, contributing to strategic direction, commercial positioning and financial governance at board level. He is not involved in the firm’s day-to-day operations or client delivery.

His academic background includes an MBA in Finance from Barna Business School and a degree in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra.
